No strangers to the road life, up-and coming Contemporary Christian Music band, Consumed By Fire, are living out the name of their band in a brand-new way. Comprised of Caleb Ward (lead vocals), Jordan Ward (harmonies/percussion), Josh Ward (guitar/harmonies), the three brothers from Oklahoma are living out God’s calling for their lives, to share God’s grace far and wide through music. “If it wasn’t this form of ministry, if it wasn’t music, it would just be something else. Ministry is what we were born to do,” Caleb says. The band’s sound, heavily influenced by the music they grew up on, is thanks in part to their father’s eclectic taste. Filled with honest truths and the band’s honed musicality, “First Things First,” the band’s current radio single, is evidence of Consumed By Fire’s family bond and the unconditional love of both their earthly and heavenly fathers. As their single climbs up the radio charts, the band is already receiving media attention with spotlights from KLove and Air1 Radio, praising the band for their “deft lyricism and tight harmonies.” With new music on the horizon as well as upcoming tour dates, the band is ready for a new, exciting year of music. Megan Danielle grew up in Douglasville Georgia with 2 sisters and a brother where they did everything together. From watching their Grandpa and Uncles at the racetrack, playing ball, corn hole and spending lots of time together. Megan says, “I am really big on family, we are all so close and do just about everything together. My grandparents mean everything to me; they have always been there. I lost my Grandpa about 2 years ago and miss him greatly. He really influenced me to become a better version of myself and pursue music.” Growing up, Megan had always heard about God but didn’t really know who He was. Her faith became real and a vital part of her life when she was 18 years old and started to attend church on a regular basis. Music has always been a strong presence in Megan’s life. Megan says, “since I was a little girl I have always enjoyed listening to music and singing along to anything I’d hear. I was always so shy to pursue it but eventually around the age of 15, I booked my own show at a restaurant in Douglasville. Then at the age of 18, I was singing anywhere I could…in bars, venues, and any place that would have me. I always knew I wasn’t living up to my full potential and then one night at a show, my Grandpa really influenced me to follow my calling. It was at that time, ironically, I quit performing altogether to learn more about myself, about God and what plans He had for my life.” About a year ago, Megan received a message from a producer on Instagram asking if she’d want to audition for American Idol. While hesitant at first, with the encouragement from friends and family she auditioned and ended up placing 2nd in the final competition which has certainly changed her life and trajectory for the future. Megan’s performances throughout the American Idol experience showed a vast array of musical styles and influences including Miranda Lambert, Lauren Daigle, Chris Stapleton, Zach Williams, Patty Griffin, Fleetwood Mac and more. Although just 21 years old, Megan is a deep soul with a lot of life experiences to draw upon which will make for an exhilarating journey as she develops as an artist for years to come. Megan’s first official single post American Idol, “Dream Girl” is available now. Megan is writing with some of the industry’s best writers preparing for more music releases and will be touring throughout the summer and fall of 2023. |

New CCM duo Caleb & John are writing their own definition of brotherhood. Two men who came to music in completely different ways, Caleb & John have created their own distinctive sound with joy-fueled, high-energy vocals paired with vibrant musicality all pointing to Jesus. In short, their music is hopeful and fun, just like Caleb & John themselves. Forming a duo wasn’t the obvious choice in the beginning. Caleb, a pastor’s kid from the northeast, grew up on a steady stream of Christian music while John, the only brother to five sisters, came to love it as a young adult. John taught himself to play guitar and piano through videos on YouTube where Caleb is a classically trained musician. John’s personal style leans toward the gritty, rootsy side and Caleb’s sweet spot is in pop melodies. While both playing for other artists like Sam Hunt, Katy Nichole, CAIN and Anne Wilson, Caleb and John met through a mutual friend who believed they might work well together. “When we met it was an interesting difference,” John says. “We hit off immediately, but it took a minute for us to find the right sound together.” “We didn’t find our sound right away,” Caleb says. “I thought John was so awesome, but I wasn’t sure if we’d be a musical fit. But once we decided to just jam for a while, both of us hopping instrument to instrument, that’s when we found the magic.” Caleb & John’s individual life experiences and approaches to music are what fuel their collaborative songwriting as well as their personal connection. “John’s an intuitive creative and I’m an analytical creative,” Caleb says. “John will come up with these ideas I would never think of and I’ll help shape them and mold them. We’re able to talk to each other and lean on each other. We complement each other very well.” “Doing this with Caleb is so much better than going it alone,” John says. “I love being able to just hang out with someone and go through this whole thing together. We can bounce ideas off each other.” Caleb adds, “When you’re in a duo, you both have strengths and weaknesses that help you balance each other out. You get the best of both.” Their debut single, "Hallelujah Feeling," wasn't just a hit with fans – it soared to #3 on the charts, solidifying their place in the CCM scene. They recently received a nomination for the K-Love Fan Award's "Breakout Single of the Year," further cementing their arrival. Now, they're back with their latest single, "Somebody Like Me," featuring the well-known CCM sibling trio CAIN. This infectious track continues their signature style, offering a message of hope and encouragement. With its powerful vocals and vibrant musicality, "Somebody Like Me" is sure to become another anthem for their ever-growing fanbase. Two unique people with two unique backgrounds, the duo’s unified joy is contagious, their lyrics overflowing with the goodness of God. With a genuine heart for others and a bond formed through their love for God, Caleb & John are eager to share their music with the world. “The message we want to communicate is hope,” John says. “There is hope for you. If God can change somebody like me, He can change somebody like you.” |
